A Wonderful Testimonial

The testimonial below is just an extract from a great letter I received from Ms Peverall

I walked into Buckingham Ford as a single foreign looking woman, previously I have visited other car dealers and was used to being ignored or treated as a dreamer rather than a potential buyer. But at Buckingham Ford I was treated in a professional and unbiased manner, everything was explained and explained again, they were happy to show me many examples, and after about two hours I had been turned into a Fiesta expert and had found my car.

This was my first experience of Buckingham Ford over two years ago, I have just had my car written off and had no hesitation I found myself walking back to Buckingham Ford as it felt like going back to my roots!

I was recognised straight away and no trouble was spared to answer my questions, regarding another Fiesta. This time I decided to stop by the VW garage I pass on my way to work, just to feel I was making an informed decision before buying my second Fiesta, as the salesman walked towards me I was being judged, he decided I was a dreamer and not a buyer and gave me some brochures to take away. Today needless to say I am driving a Fiesta.

Thanks to a great sales person James, and the homely friendly feeling of Buckingham Ford in General.

Thank you Ford for selling a great car from a great dealership.

Ms Gulum Peverall

Below is an extract from an email i recieved yesterday morning from a customer, who called when there car let them down.
Branch : Buckingham
Feedback : I'd like to thank Dave Balcombe and Paul Mayhew for providing exceptional service.
My car failed a month outside of warranty. The failure was a repeat (arguably!) of a failure which had occured repeatedly during warranty. Paul and Dave took ownership of the problem, collected the car from MK, liased with Ford Customer Services on my behalf, secured part payment from Ford and accepted responsibility for the balance of costs. As a result I will certainly be using Buckingham Ford for future motoring requirements, incluing the service of my wifes Vauxhall.
Truly exceptional service.
Colin Graham.

Great event last night at Buckingham Ford

Yesterday evening we held a great Vehicle awareness and winter driving workshop, over 30 people attended and while they enjoyed an entertaining but informative presentation from Graham and Andy on the perils of winter driving and safety, we performed safety checks on there vehicles free of charge.
Following the talk they got the opportunity to change a wheel and learn about the levels you need to check for basic car maintenance, we were surprised that only 7 people had ever changed a wheel!

New C-Max arriving this month

We have now taken our first order for the New C-Max and it isn't even in the showroom yet. The customer Mark made his decision based on the reports he has read and finally the revue by Honest John http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ford/c-max-2010
This letter came in from Mark today after placing his order
Dear James
I was on the honest John website looking at the review of the new Ford C-Max, i was so impressed with what i saw that i had to have one.

Another Master Technician at Buckingham Ford

Carl Smith who has worked for 10 years, since he was an apprentice at 17 years old, has today passed out of Fords training college as a Master technician.
This recognition for all Carl's hard work is well deserved, as he has worked towards this for the last 4 years after completing his apprenticeship and then his Technician status.
With the way modern cars improve and get more complicated, we are constantly sending our technicians on training courses to keep up with modern technology, this is the only way to keep up with the complexity of the new car.
Carl has now attended more than 376 hours of classroom learning along with even more workshop practicals, finishing this week with 5 days of long tests and exam modules.
Congratulations to Carl from everyone at Buckingham Ford

Ford's all-new C-MAX Press release

Press release BRENTWOOD, Essex, 6 September 2010 – Ford's all-new C-MAX will go on sale in the UK in October, priced from £16,745.
Both the sporty but spacious five-seater and the Grand, a versatile seven-seater, come with a simplified two-series line-up – Zetec and Titanium. Prices start from £16,745 for the CMAX Zetec and £18,745 for the C-MAX Grand Zetec.
With almost two-thirds of UK buyers in this segment now seeking seven-seat flexibility, the Ford Grand C-MAX becomes the spiritual successor to today's model, which was also designed to maximise practicality. Priced from £18,745 for the 1.6-litre petrol 125PS Zetec, the Grand offers family-friendly flexibility, with the extra utility of twin sliding doors, versatile seating and improved engine efficiency - and all for just a £250 premium over today's model.
The Grand Zetec with 115PS 1.6-litre TDCi, the anticipated volume seller in the UK, is priced at £19,745 - £750 less than the outgoing equivalent. The five-seat model will appeal to customers seeking more space than a regular family hatchback, but who do not want to sacrifice sporty design or driving dynamics. On the road prices start from £16,745 for the 1.6-litre petrol Zetec.
Mark Simpson, marketing director, Ford of Britain said: "When C-MAX was launched in 2003 it preserved all the brand's most important qualities including style, comfort and driving quality, but added more flexibility and space to the Focus package."
"Since then the market has expanded quite considerably with customers expressing a variety of needs. These are met with the family-friendly seven-seater and the sporty-but-spacious five- seater.
The new Ford C-MAX and Grand C-MAX are priced to offer customers best value for money whilst still introducing many exciting new technologies which will feature on the all-new Focus due next year," he said.
Standard equipment on all models includes alloy wheels, air conditioning, leather steering wheel, Thatcham category one alarm, DAB radio/CD and Bluetooth with USB connectivity and voice control. Grand C-MAX has powered child-proof locks on the rear dual sliding doors, and rear parking sensors.
The Titanium trim supplements these features with auto front wipers and headlamps, dual electronic automatic temperature control, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, hill launch assist, keyless start, cruise control with speed limiter, premium Sony audio, and tyre deflation
detection system. The Grand C-MAX Titanium also has power folding mirrors.
Customers will be offered a choice of three petrol engines and two diesel engines. Making its debut in the Ford C-MAX and Grand C-MAX is the all-new four-cylinder 1.6-litre 150PS Ford EcoBoost engine which comes with a new six-speed manual gearbox. This gearbox also accompanies the 1.6 TDCi and 2.0 TDCi powertrains, which are jointly projected to account for around 50 per cent of sales. For those preferring an automatic transmission, the dual-clutch Powershift six-speed automatic option is available with the 2.0 TDCi powertrain.

We now Sponsor Buckingham Town under 16s

We were very proud yesterday evening to watch Buckingham Towns new under 16 side take on MK Dons elite academy in there new strip sponsored by ourselves, although they were 2 - 0 down at half time, the dons had not had many chances.
The Robins fought hard in the second half to get the score back to 2 - 2 until Mk scored the winner in the last minute.
It was very entertaining to watch, and great commitment was shown throughout the team. It was commented on on the sideline that there were many tackles going in, in defence that we wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of, and that the behavior of both teams, not just to the referee but to each other, was excellent and could teach a few of our so called stars a thing or two, even though they were committed.
We wish them well for the new season, in the midlands league, I am sure if they show the determination they showed last night for the season they will do well.

No Pain for the Pain's at Buckingham Ford

It has been so nice seeing customers both new and old taking delivery of so many new and used cars, these last two days. And even better to receive emails like this below:
We took delivery of the Ford Focus which you had expertly procured on our behalf and we wish to thank you for making the whole process apparently so efficient and simple for us.
You may remember that we arrived at Buckingham Ford having made a telephone enquiry to you stating our requirements. This was after we had received such poor service from another Ford dealer in the area who has, even today, still not contacted us after our initial enquiry to them.
In contrast it was clear that Buckingham Ford had prepared for our visit and we received enthusiastic and prompt service from you and we are most grateful to you for that.
Yours sincerely
Signed
Mr & Mrs A C Pain
If you are not getting the service you deserve, you may have just found the place to come, you didn't hear it from me, this letter is from a new customer who hasn't bought from us before.

Holidays are over and the new 60 reg is here

The new 60 registrations are hitting the road today, early indications are very strong, we have more cars going this first week of September, than we have in the last 2 years.
I am not sure what this indicates, apart from the fact the offers available are very strong on new Ford cars at present, even to the extent we are showing customers buying on finance a saving over some nearly new models.
Have a look at the great 60 plate deals on our new car page

What our customers say

First class customer care, and I wish every Ford Garage would take on board the fantastic customer care given to me as problems with my Ford Galaxy cropped up two days prior to going to Spain.

Not only did they offer to have a quick look at it they also managed to order in and fit the part that was needed though they were extremely busy they could see my desperation. It’s very easy to complain as I did to head office about Fords main servicing garage in Kingston, who cant even get a call back to me within 24hrs.Having spent 10 years in customer service Ford Buckingham get10/10 from me. Many Thanks Mrs Carter July 2010

Save money on your tyres by looking after them

You have all heard it before, What pressure should my tyres be ? not that many people could tell you, but what difference does it make.
Well in simple terms money out of your pocket. A properly inflated tyre lasts longer and gives you better grip. Over inflated tyres are more prone to damage from potholes and promotes uneven tread wear.
Do you check your tyre pressures as often as you should ? , if you don't know what pressure they should be, pop in and we will check them for you. No cost its FREE

What the Uruguayan Linesman means for you

Well he meant everything to us yesterday, but today is just another of those days following on from being knocked out of a major football championship.
But hey we should be used to it, we put up with it. It happens every time, but on the good side its 30 plus degrees out there, we are beating the Aussies at cricket and we still have an interest in Wimbledon.
While it is 30 plus out there remember you don't have to put up with the car being that warm, most of the special offers on our website, air conditioning comes as standard. Or if you already have Air con and need to improve it we service and recharge air conditioning.
