New C-Max coming next month

Ford's redesigned C-Max line will go on sale in the UK in October, priced from £16,745. The carry-over five-seater and the new seven-seat Grand will be launched in a simplified two-series line-up – Zetec and Titanium. The Grand Zetec is £18,745.

"With almost two-thirds of UK buyers in this segment now seeking seven-seat flexibility, the Grand C-MAX becomes the spiritual successor to today's model, which was also designed to maximise practicality," Ford Britain said. The Grand offers family-friendly flexibility, with the extra utility of twin sliding doors, versatile seating and improved engine efficiency - and all for just a £250 premium over today's model.

The Grand Zetec with 115PS 1.6-litre TDCi, the anticipated volume seller in the UK, is priced £19,745 - £750 less than the outgoing equivalent.

We now Sponsor Buckingham Town under 16s

We were very proud yesterday evening to watch Buckingham Towns new under 16 side take on MK Dons elite academy in there new strip sponsored by ourselves, although they were 2 - 0 down at half time, the dons had not had many chances.

The Robins fought hard in the second half to get the score back to 2 - 2 until Mk scored the winner in the last minute.

It was very entertaining to watch, and great commitment was shown throughout the team. It was commented on on the sideline that there were many tackles going in, in defence that we wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of, and that the behavior of both teams, not just to the referee but to each other, was excellent and could teach a few of our so called stars a thing or two, even though they were committed.

We wish them well for the new season, in the midlands league, I am sure if they show the determination they showed last night for the season they will do well.

Holidays are over and the new 60 reg is here

The new 60 registrations are hitting the road today, early indications are very strong, we have more cars going this first week of September, than we have in the last 2 years.

I am not sure what this indicates, apart from the fact the offers available are very strong on new Ford cars at present, even to the extent we are showing customers buying on finance a saving over some nearly new models.
